About The Book

Before the plagues. Before the wilderness. There was a family—and a promise.

The Moses Chronicles: Prelude is biblical historical fiction rooted in reverence and imagination. The story begins in Egypt, just after the death of Jacob, also called Israel. He dies in the first pages—but what unfolds after is a powerful exploration of his legacy.

Joseph, now a ruler in Egypt, must walk his brothers through their father’s burial—and their own regrets. These are the twelve sons of Israel, men destined to become tribes, yet still fractured by guilt, rivalry, and unspoken pain. Their journey is not only back to Canaan to bury their father, but inward—toward reconciliation, honor, and understanding what it means to be chosen.

All the while, in Pharaoh’s court, Joseph senses a shift. His name is beginning to fade. The palace no longer remembers the Hebrew who saved the empire. And though the Hebrews still prosper in Goshen, danger is growing. The gods of Egypt are watching. And the next ruler may not remember Joseph at all.

Told through the voices of Joseph, Asenath, Dinah, and others history nearly overlooked, this book brings to life the relationships behind the names. With tenderness and tension, grief and grit, it explores the beauty of what might have happened between the verses—without ever rewriting what’s written.

This is not just the beginning of a series. It’s the threshold of a nation.

About The Author

Regina is drawn to the quiet spaces in Scripture—where hearts break, heal, and walk with God. Prelude to The Moses Chronicles is her first published work and the opening thread in a larger tapestry: a retelling of faith, exile, and deliverance through the eyes of those who lived it.

She writes not from titles, but from reverence. Not to instruct, but to inspire.

From her teenage years, Regina has been in love with the Old Testament—curious about what unfolded between the verses. What were the relationships like? What humor existed in these ancient families? What mercy moved behind the laws? With Exodus as her favorite book, it’s no wonder she finds herself drawn to the deep waters of complex relationships, familial bonds, and the compassion of a loving Creator.

As a US citizen, having lived abroad in South Africa, Southeast Asia, Zambia, and Kenya, Regina has seen how people of faith can gather around the shared language of Scripture. Her hope is to bring more vibrance to the relationships that shaped history—and continue to shape us.
